The Prize

Ciro Ferrara has donated this shirt that belonged to his own personal collection. This is the shirt that Maradona gave to him following Ferrara's debut with the Italian national team in 1987, a shirt that holds real sentimental value.

This is the blue and white Argentina national football team home shirt worn by former Napoli forward Diego Armando Maradona for an international friendly match against Italy.

The game was played at the Hardturm Stadion in Zurich on June 10, 1987 and ended in a 3-1 win to Italy. Diego Maradona scored the one goal for his team, taking them to 2-1, thanks to a luck deflection.

This was an unforgettable match for Ciro Ferrara, his debut in the national team. At the end of the match El Pibe de Oro gave his shirt to Ferrara, his team mate at Napoli.

Features:

- Blue and white long-sleeved home shirt
- Worn by Diego Armando Maradona
- Argentina emblem on chest
- Sponsor Le Coq Sportif
- Number on back
- #10

This item was supplied to the squad for a match, was made available to the players on matchday and differs from the shirts found on general sale.

Many footballers from Naples and the Campania region have responded to Ciro Ferrara and the brothers Fabio and Paolo Cannavaro's appeal to help Neapolitan families overcome the coronavirus emergency. Each player has chosen their most expensive shirt, signed it and donated it to the Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation in support of the "Je Sto Vicino A Te" initiative.
